Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Beacon Marina Spray Foam Insulation website and any work you book with us. By using the site, asking for an estimate or scheduling a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you do.
If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site, and call us before you book so we can talk it through.
What we do
Beacon Marina Spray Foam Insulation is an insulation contractor in Marina, CA. We insulate attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements, remove old insulation, seal air leaks and install vapor barriers for homes and businesses in Marina and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on the About page, and our home page lists our services.
The website gives general information about insulation work. It isn't advice for your particular house, because what your job needs depends on what we find once we're in your attic, walls or crawl space.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and come after we've looked at the space in person, because the depth of what's already up there, its condition and how hard the area is to reach all change the price. There's no pressure to book once you have it.
An estimate is based on what we can see that day. If we open things up and find something it couldn't account for, such as wet or damaged insulation, droppings, or framing that needs repair, we'll stop, explain what we found and get your approval before doing any added work or charging for it.
Your price and scope are set by the written estimate or agreement you sign, not by anything on this website.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and tell you how long the crew should be at your house. Weather, material delivery and conditions we find on site can move that date, and we'll let you know as soon as we know.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to clear stored items from it where we ask. Some foam products need the house empty for a set time while they cure, and we'll tell you before the job when you, your kids and your pets can come back inside, because that time comes from the product's maker and isn't something we can shorten.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us as early as you can. Any cancellation terms in your signed agreement apply, and so does any right to cancel that California law gives you.
Payment
Payment amounts, any deposit and due dates are set out in your signed agreement. Unless that agreement says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is complete.
If a payment is late, we may pause further work until the account is settled, and you may be responsible for reasonable costs of collecting what's owed, to the extent California law allows.
Warranties
Any warranty on our work or on the materials we install is the one written in your signed agreement or in the maker's own warranty. Your satisfaction matters to us, and if something isn't right with our work, call us and we'll come back and look at it.
Beyond those written warranties, this website and its content are provided as is. We don't promise any particular drop in your power bill or change in comfort, because results depend on your house, how you use it and things outside our control.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Beacon Marina Spray Foam Insulation isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses tied to the website or our work, such as lost income or loss of use of your home. Our total liability on any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't responsible for problems that were already there before we started, like hidden leaks, pests or wiring, or for damage caused by work others do after we leave. Nothing here limits liability that California law doesn't allow us to limit.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first at (831) 920-0697 or reach us through the Contact page. Most problems get settled quickly once we're both standing in the attic looking at the same thing.
If we can't work it out between us, either of us may take the matter to small claims court or another court with jurisdiction in Monterey County, California.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one in effect. Changes don't alter an agreement you've already signed with us.
If you have a question about any of this, the Contact page is the quickest way to reach us.
